The mountains and the mountain air in the wonderful Chiemgau can make you hungry. Our Landgasthof Zur Post has its own restaurant where you can experience typical Bavarian delicacies and regional delicacies. Or you can end the day here with a cold wheat beer and discuss the hiking tour for the next day. You are also welcome to make yourself comfortable on our beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains and enjoy a real Bavarian snack. We always try to source all food regionally – whether from the butcher next door or from local dairies. We rely on tradition and quality. Before you conquer the Kampenwand in the morning, you should get enough energy from our rich breakfast buffet to have enough energy for the day. Our restaurant regularly offers seasonal highlights – so it’s always worth keeping an eye on the culinary calendar.

Bavarian delicacies
Our country inn has its own restaurant with bar and outdoor terrace. Here we not only serve regional specialties, but also our typical Bavarian snack. Monday: Day off Thursday: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday to Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Between 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. we offer a small menu

In the warm months you are welcome to make yourself comfortable on our beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains and enjoy a cool wheat beer. We are also happy to serve food and drinks from our menu here throughout the day. The terrace can accommodate up to 100 people.

Our bright breakfast room welcomes you with a high-quality breakfast buffet. Sustainability and regionality are also very important to us at breakfast. True to the Castlewood Hotels mission statement: close to nature, traditional and family-friendly, we try as far as possible to avoid plastic, not to waste food and to source our products locally as far as possible. In this way, we not only try to bring you closer to the region, but also to remain true to our values.

Our Landgasthof Zur Post has various rooms that can not only be used for the restaurant business, but also for birthdays, weddings and all kinds of other festivities. Our various parlors are the Poststüberl (60 seats), the Gaststube (40 seats), the Remigius-Stüberl (70-90 seats) and the Laurentius-Stüberl (50 seats). We also have our own house bar with up to 50 seats. If you want to organize a larger celebration, you are welcome to use our post ballroom. This alone offers space for up to 200 people, but can be combined with the Remigius-Stüberl and thus expanded to around 280 seats.

Our culinary calendar takes you through the year and spoils you with dishes for asparagus, game and goose season, as well as many other highlights. If you are looking for a very special evening, then we recommend our neighboring country inn Karner in Frasdorf with its gourmet restaurant (1 Michelin star). Here you will be spoiled with culinary delicacies at the highest level by head chef Manuel Wimmer.
